Dakine was founded in 1979 in Maui, Hawaii. The name comes from the Hawaiian Pidgin word “da kine”, which derives from “the kind”. They make great backpacks, luggage and apparel for a variety of sports and have a skate team including Corey Duffel, Chris Haslam and Torey Pudwill.
